Selle aasta 23. juuli on minu poolõe lapselapse Theo viies sünnipäev. Theo ja mu poolõde asuvad Eestis, teatud osa meie perekonnast (mina praegu kaasa arvatud) aga siin Kanadas. Palu õnne Sulle, Theo! - Siinjuures annan Sulle, minu eesti- ja ingliskeelsetes tõlgetes, mõned sõnad mida kirjutas poola-prantsuse füüsika- keemiateadlane Marie Sklodowska-Curie ammu, kunagi enne Sinu vanaema sündi, ja mida ma olen varemalt edastanud ka meie perele Kanadas. - On July 23 this year is the birthday of my half-sister's grandson. Happy Birthday, Theo! Theo and my half-sister are in Estonia, but some of our family (I presently among them) are in Canada. Happy Birthday, Theo! - Here I give you, in my Estonian and English translations, some words written a long time ago by Polish-French physicist-chemist Marie Sklodowska-Curie, at some point before your Grandma's birth. I have previously sent these words also to our family in Canada:
