Toomas Karmo: Observing the 9th of May, In Terms that Offer Something to Everyone: как культурно, разумно и приятно

Thank you, President Putin, for not doing the thing I feared you might do, namely celebrating today, May 9, with a tactical nuclear detonation at Azovstal. Thanks also to the people who carried out the successful NTV Plus-Rostelecom-Wink hack, causing online viewers in Russia to see a nice, clear "No to war" caption as commentary on coverage of the big parade:

Some will have appreciated the parade today, whether because of the hack or because they like parades. Such viewers might now enjoy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Smz6j9wZdoI (YouTube video entitled "Lambeth Walk: Putin Style (2021)", uploaded seven months ago by YouTube user "Wassermelone"). Others, for instance I here in rural Estonia, will have a more American taste in YouTube clips, and might accordingly now enjoy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmfeNq5x5aQ (YouTube video entitled "God Bless America Sung by Kate Smith - This is the Army 1943 HD", uploaded a year ago by YouTube user "Inter-Pathé"). That's how the Internet works, folks: there is something for everyone.
